Abegail, a sponsored child for 9 years, balanced her studies with her calling as a Worship Team instrumentalist. Through life’s challenges, her faith in God grew stronger, guided by the love of her family, church, and sponsor.
Good day, my name is Abegail Regatis, and I’m 21 years old. I’m from Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City, and I’m grateful to share my story. I graduated from Quezon City University with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship. My time in school was a challenging but rewarding experience, and I’m thankful for the support I received. Growing up, my family faced many difficulties. My father is a plumber who works in different towns and cities, and right now he is in Bulacan for work, coming home only on weekends to rest and attend church with us. My mother, on the other hand, runs a Sari-Sari store, which often helps us get by when our weekly allowance is tight. Despite the struggles, my parents worked hard to provide for us and were always supportive of my education and my passion for music. They encouraged me to pursue my dreams, and I’m grateful for their love and guidance.
I joined the Child Sponsorship Program 9 years ago. I found out about the program through Teacher Ammie. The program has been a blessing to me, providing financial support for my education and spiritual guidance. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this program and for the people who have supported me along the way. My journey with the church began when I was 13. I was introduced to the church through a friend, and I’ve grown spiritually through the support of the church community. As a member of the Worship Team, I’ve had the privilege of serving God through music. As an instrumentalist, I’ve been able to use my talents to worship and glorify Him. Being part of the Worship Team has deepened my relationship with God and has given me a sense of purpose. I’ve learned to use my gifts to serve others and to bring joy to those around me. The Child Sponsorship Program has helped me in many ways. It has provided financial support for my education, which has enabled me to pursue my dreams. It has also allowed me to grow spiritually and to be part of a community that cares about me. I’m grateful for the encouragement and support I’ve received from my sponsors and the program staff.
To God and to the people who have helped me through my study journey, I want to say thank you. Thank you for believing in me and for supporting me. Your kindness and generosity have made a significant difference in my life. I pray that God will bless you abundantly for your love and care. To those who are still struggling, I want to say, don’t give up. Keep pushing forward, and know that there are people who care about you and want to help. Thank you again for being part of my journey.
