We invited Sis. Belle Fajardo, a professional counselor based in Singapore, to give a talk to our OFWs on the importance of examining one’s self to grow spiritually and emotionally. She gave a talk in Genting Highlands, Subang Jaya, and Kuala Lumpur last August 25 and 26, 2018.

Sis. Belle’s talk was titled “Mirrors for the Soul.” Her talk centered on the need for each individual to examine his or her past in order to deal with barriers that hinder ones spiritual and emotional growth. She discussed possible traumas and “shadows” that continue to haunt each individual consciously or unconsciously. Her talk included exercises which challenged the participants’ ability to think through why they are what they are today. She also challenged us to seriously consider examining oneself and progress towards spiritual growth.

She also challenged us to seriously consider examining oneself and progress towards spiritual growth.

Feedback from her talk has been universally positive. Many thanked Sis. Belle for helping them see how their past has been affecting their present. There were a few who sought counsel from Sis. Belle, as the talk opened up the hidden wounds that they had been carrying for all these years. We are praying that Sis. Belle will be used once again in the near future to positively influence our fellow OFWs.
