Emerald’s Story: Child Sponsorship Program

Hi! I’m Emerald Kristine Ogardo Pruel, 12 years old. I’m  now a Grade 7 student in Holy Spirit National High School. My mother works as a maid, my father works as a construction worker, and we are two siblings in the family. In my family we experienced financial problem. 

But I thank God, because in 2017 I became part of the Child Sponsorship Program. Something has changed in me since I became a scholar in the program. My mother and father didn’t have much problems with my studies when it comes to finances. And I go to church every Sunday. Now during the pandemic my mother is with me watching online worship. And I got closer to the Lord and continue not to forget everything He does. I am grateful for all the blessings that I still receive every day.

To my sponsor, first, I want to say a good day to you and to your whole family. I am thankful for the blessings you’ve given to me. Now that I’m in high school, I promise that I will study hard because you never left me despite the hardships of our time.
