I am Jhabelita Zantua, 21 years old. I am a recent graduate from Quezon City University with a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.

Let me give you some background on my family. My parents are separated. My mother is a housewife, but sometimes she takes on side jobs to provide for our daily needs. My father is a hardworking carpenter. I have five siblings, and I am the youngest. I am the first-degree holder in our family.

When I was a child, my parents and I went to church every Sunday until my parents were baptized. I was 10 years old when Pastor Jun and Pastor Ronald introduced the KMI program at CIY Holy Spirit. Our pastor's wife, Teacher Ammie, chose me to be part of the child sponsorship program because I was an active child in our church and also needed support for my elementary education. When I was in high school, I was baptized on December 28, 2018. To this day, I am part of the Ushering Team and a Bible reader every Sunday at our church. I enjoy serving the Lord with my fellow volunteers very much.     As I grew up in the church, I deepened my understanding and experience as a believer. I learned how to apply the teachings of Christ in my daily life. My personal relationship with the Lord helps me strengthen my faith in Him. My faith in Him provides me with a sense of purpose and direction.
During the pandemic, our family faced significant challenges due to the financial crisis, a common issue for many Filipinos during and after that period. I overcame this when the KMI sponsorship distributed our respective allowances. Since I am an entrepreneur, I decided to start my own small business by purchasing lip tint. With that, I helped my family provide for our daily needs.

Regarding spiritual growth, the full quarantine during the pandemic meant no one was allowed to go out except for workers. I faced difficulties maintaining my faith and finding comfort amidst the uncertainties and hardships brought by the pandemic. It was a challenging time, but I prayed and meditated to find solace.

Lastly, acceptance was crucial. I needed to embrace the process of transformation that came with these challenges. Emotionally, the crisis was intensified by my parents' separation and their strained relationship. I was more affected by the environment than their relationship itself. I cried every night due to the sadness and isolated myself because I didn't want to talk to other people. To distract myself, I started baking pastries such as cupcakes and brownies. This helped me focus on something positive and manage my negative emotions.

KMI sponsorship has helped me in many ways. First, through financial aid, they helped me sustain my school expenses. Second, the invaluable spiritual help, guidance, and prayers have strengthened my faith and provided me with comfort during difficult times. Last but not least, they supported me in graduating from college. I would like to thank my sponsor for their unwavering spiritual and financial support. Their support has sustained me both spiritually and educationally, having a significant impact on my journey and giving me the opportunity to pursue and achieve my goals.

I am grateful to the Lord for His unending love, mercy, wisdom, guidance, and blessings. I am also grateful for all the instruments He used to help me throughout this journey. I am most grateful to the Lord for giving me the strength and wisdom to overcome challenges and grow in faith. To my fellow sponsored children who serve the Lord, I encourage you to continue serving the Lord, because without Him, we would not be part of this KMI sponsorship. Stay strong in your faith and remember that even in challenging times, God is always by our side, guiding and supporting us. Keep shining and always spreading love and kindness wherever you go. Your dedication is truly inspiring. Keep up the good work!
