My name is Junmark Gonzaga, and I am 22 years old. I am a graduating student studying for a Bachelor of Financial Management. I met the Lord when I was 11 years old. At that time, my friend invited me to join a feeding program for children that also had volunteer teachers who taught a Bible stories. I was baptized on May 19, 2013, and became a member of Christ in You Forever Pulilan. Growing up in the church has led to significant changes in my life. My faith has deepened through prayer, bible study, and fellowship. I've engaged in ministry playing the tambourine and piano until I had the opportunity to lead a worship service. This kind of service gave me a great joy in my heart. Overall, my journey in the church has shaped me into a devoted, knowledgeable, and service-oriented follower of Christ.

I was a high school student when I became part of the child sponsorship program. I remember that time our pastor informed us that Kapatid Ministry was looking for children who needed support for their education. My mother stays at home, and my father works as a maintenance worker for a company. I am the only child of my parents, but we still needed assistance for my studies. That’s why I sent my application in case I was chosen, and I didn't expect that I would become a scholar. The KMI program has been incredibly helpful to me in several ways. First, the financial assistance for my studies covered expenses such as tuition fees, books, and living expenses. This support enabled me to focus on my studies without the added stress of financial worries. Being part of the KMI program, I also had people around me who gave me encouragement, motivation, and camaraderie throughout my educational journey.

The Lord also tested me during and after the pandemic. I faced several challenges. The first challenge was financial. As a graduating student majoring in Financial Management, I faced uncertainties about job prospects and financial stability. The second challenge was the sudden shift to online learning, which presented difficulties in terms of adapting to new technologies and maintaining focus in a different learning environment. Thirdly, my emotional well-being suffered because the isolation and uncertainty brought about by the pandemic took a toll on me.

But I am most grateful to the Lord for His unwavering love and guidance in my life. His presence has been a constant source of strength, comfort, and inspiration, guiding me through life's challenges and uncertainties. I am thankful for His blessings, both big and small, and for the countless ways He has shown His grace and mercy.

I would like to thank my sponsor for their generous support of my education. Your assistance has allowed me to pursue my studies in Financial Management, which has been instrumental in shaping my future career path. Your contribution has not only eased the financial burden but has also motivated me to strive for excellence in my academic endeavors. I am truly grateful for your belief in me and for the opportunities your sponsorship has provided.

To my fellow sponsored children serving the Lord, I want to encourage you to continue steadfast in your faith and service to God. Remember that you are chosen and equipped by Him for a purpose. Your commitment and efforts to serving Him are not in vain. Trust in His faithfulness.
