A heartfelt “thank you” to the Kapatid Ministry from The Kingdom Righteousness Ministry for collaborating with “Bless a Senior Project”. This project aims to share the love of God to the elderly in the community in order to introduce what Jesus has done for all of us and, hopefully, establish a relationship with Him.

I was blessed to be part of this life-changing operation as one of the selected members of the church. I chose to participate because I want to be an instrument in extending God’s hand in helping other people and sharing the good news of salvation with them.

To prepare, I started praying to the Lord regarding who would I reach out to and how will I approach that particular individual. Certainly, He answered me when I saw the name of our distant relative, Tito Bobong Sunga. As a receiver of God's love and kindness, I want to tell my family and relatives about His goodness.

I witnessed the excitement on their faces when I entered their home and informed them that he was one of the project's beneficiaries. As I reached out to Tito Bobong, I discovered that he suffers from arthritis and is unable to carry out his farming tasks. Kuya Bryan, his eldest son, is battling kidney failure and is receiving dialysis treatment. I began by saying, "Taking care of our physical body is just as essential as taking care of our spirit." After that, I told him about what Jesus had done for us and gave him the finest present anybody could ever receive: salvation. I believe, Tito Bobong and his family members who were present at the time, accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

This initiative helped me understand that the pandemic has a significant impact on the community's older citizens. As a result, Bless a Senior Project is one method to show them how much they are loved and cherished. I consider myself privileged to be used by God, as stated in Mark 16:15, when He told to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to every creature."

I want to be an instrument in extending God’s hand in helping other people and sharing the good news of salvation with them.
