Mary Rose’s Story: How God’s Faithfulness Has Guided My Path

I can say that this year has been a challenging one for me as a college student, especially as an entrepreneur student. Hi, I’m Mary Rose Bulawan, 22 years old, a third year in Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), San Juan Campus.

My life as a student and as a daughter is both good and challenging because I study far away from our home in Caloocan. I stay at my sister’s house in Antipolo and am only able to come home on Sundays and back to Antipolo on Mondays.

It’s challenging because this is the year we discover and create our innovative product that we will use in our fourth year. I am also one of the officers in our class, and handling many responsibilities, such as being a leader for several subjects. This requires patience to deal with different personalities, strength to get through the exhausting days, and trust that God will provide for my school expenses. 

As I face the pressures, I realize that it’s becoming fruitful. God has given me lessons that I needed to learn, teaching me to lead not only by giving orders but also by working alongside my fellow groupmates. I’ve learned that being a leader is not about the title that you hold, but the encouragement and motivation that you give to your people achieve their goals. This experience is something I can apply in my future as a businesswoman.

I just want to highlight the goodness and faithfulness of God in my life. I know that throughout my journey, God has always been present, especially during the times that I felt tired and wanted to give up. He reminds me that in every challenge I face, He will be there to help and lift me up. I am deeply grateful; I am now in my second semester of my 3^rd year. He has provided me constantly with the knowledge and wisdom I need for my studies. I know He guides my path and provides everything I need.

My prayer request is for my family: their safety, provision, and good health. My prayer request for myself is for knowledge and wisdom in my studies, provision, growth in my spiritual and mental life, safety, and good health. I also prayed that this testimony will encouragement others to support many students like me who want to finish their studies.
