CHILDREN MINISTERED WEEKLY

Why Feeding?

In Metro Manila alone, there are about 4 million squatters. Some children in squatter areas become street children. Once they become street children, chances are, they become drug addicts or drug pushers and most often, they become involved in all sorts of crime related activities.

Our Work

We, in Kapatid Ministry, work hand in hand with different churches, groups and individuals, to help change the course of the lives of some of these squatter children. We do this through the Feeding Program. Our goal is to give children and their family in depressed areas an opportunity for physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual nourishment through regular feeding and sharing the Gospel.

Gospel-Centered, Bible-Rooted Lessons

Our partner churches conduct weekly Bible lessons for the children to impart to them the Gospel and to nurture in them biblical values. It is important to not tell them only how to live morally right, but also why we live morally right towards God, their families, and their communities.

Feeding of Good Food

Weekly our partner churches also feed the children nourishing bread and food that helps keep them healthy and keep their minds sharp. This is done in partnership with organizations who provide food for the needy. The feeding program lasts for 3 years and is done on a weekly basis. Each feeding center caters to an average of 50 children ages 4 to 12 years old.
