To our Partners in the Ministry,

We thank you for your persevering and vital partnership with Kapatid Ministry in the work God has given us among the marginalized communities in the Philippines. This year marks the second year post pandemic, a pandemic that brought significant challenges. The first and foremost was the passing of our founder, Bro. Titus Laxa. His loss is significantly felt even after 2 years since his passing. Despite this challenge, we have been blessed this year with reaffirmations of partnerships, reinforcements in people at work, and in reflecting what God has done for the past 20 years.

This 2023 we have been blessed by our local partners and donors (local and abroad) for their faithful partnership in the ministry. To date, we have 29 partner churches whose pastors and volunteers are faithfully advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in marginalized communities through the Feeding Program and the Child Sponsorship Program. Our local partners have been instrumental in ministering via Bible Studies among Senior Citizens and families of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). All their work has been made possible by the prayers and support of our donors both local and abroad.

This year, we also have been blessed by the volunteerism of Bro. Arwin and Sis. Amy Calansanan, former OFWs from Malaysia. Throughout this year, they have been instrumental in ministering to our local partners, strengthening our partnership with existing donors, and promoting the work of Kapatid Ministry to new partners and donors. We praise God for their lives.

Lastly, this year marks the 20th year since Kapatid Ministry was started by Bro. Titus and Sis. Beth Laxa. We held a simple celebration on October 16, 2023. We invited former and present local partner pastors to the celebration to reflect on what God has done for the past 20 years, and to be exhorted by His Word to press on in advancing the Gospel to marginalized families in the communities, one family at a time.

To all our partners in the ministry, we thank God for you. This work is bearing fruit because Christ is our head, and we as His body, are moving under His gracious and firm command, to advance the Gospel to “proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.” (Luke 4:18-19)

In Christ,

Titus Jr Laxa
