Hi! I am Queenie from Bagumbong, Caloocan City. I am an incoming 3rd-year college student at the University of Caloocan City. During this pandemic, I've experienced a lot of dilemmas in terms of the mental and spiritual aspects of my life. I have to choose whether I will still go to school or stop studying for a while. I can't stand the current situation with my family. It affects me knowing that a lot of people, specifically my fellow students are having a hard time figuring out how to get through each day. Many times, I considered looking for a part-time job. However, no one will look after my mother. So, I chose to continue studying.
Being the youngest, I've seen how much my siblings struggle financially because of this pandemic. There are times we are left empty-handed; we can't buy vitamins, medicines for my mother, and we don't have a choice but to adjust the budget for the whole month. But God has been so good. He's always faithful. He never let His children lack anything. God used some of our churchmates to help me also my family; some are giving vegetables, sometimes with vitamins. After seeing how God used amazing people to extend their help to those in need, I was also encouraged to do the same thing. I might not help them financially, but at least I try to include them in prayer, to let them feel and know that they are not alone, that they will always be in my heart. I'll always let God use my life as a living testimony because I know that God never forsakes and forgets his children.
