Our Core Values

THE FUEL THAT KEEPS US GOING

Our Condition: We are not better than the other

All of us are poor in our own way. We don’t consider ourselves the savior for the poor or the solution to poverty. We recognize that all of us have a form of poverty in us, and that only One can save us all: Jesus Christ. That is why our aim is not to change one’s religion or behavior or even lifestyle. Our aim is to introduce the One who can save them from their malady, that we may be witnesses to His unfailing love.

Our Compassion: Sacrificial action

We will not offer anything that costs us nothing. We believe that is true compassion. Compassion is not settling for just feeling merciful for someone in need. True compassion is revealed by a helping hand and a hurting hand. We don’t settle for showing the world we are helping others. We want to help, whether publicly or privately, whether with others or alone, until those who are helped can stand on their own two feet and help others as well.

Our Call: To show mercy

We believe our call is not to change the world. We can’t do it by our own will. Yet, because God’s design is for us to show mercy to those who need mercy, this we will do. We won’t do it for effectiveness sake. We will do it because it is the right thing to do. Whether the person being helped rejects it in the long run or is transformed is up to the Savior. As His vessel, our prayer is that we show mercy to those who need mercy: a child, youth, family, seniors – anyone who needs His mercy.
